For those who frequently read blogs and/or wikis you have probably noticed that link spam is getting to be a problem. The reason people do this is because they want to improve their listing on Google. Google likes pages that are linked to a lot so these spammers fill other people's pages with links in hopes to get more visitors to their site. That alone is bad enough, but they often mess up the information on the wikis while adding their links.
Our way of fighting back is to use the same keywords they are spamming and beat them with a better Google ranking. That way their potential customers will see that they are spammers and hopefully not visit them.
